SportAbility Rolling Panthers
There’s a spot on the team for you!
In 2017 the SportAbility Rolling Panthers was established by SportAbility of Iowa. They partnered with Blackhawk County Family YMCA of Waterloo, Iowa, as their home practice facility. The Rolling Panthers are registered as a Junior Prep and Varsity team with the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA). The primary goal is to provide the youth of Iowa living with physical disabilities the opportunity to play on a competitive basketball team with their peers. The teams compete against other sanctioned NWBA teams all across the Midwest to qualify for the Junior National Wheelchair Basketball tournament. Be sure to check out the events page for tournaments, fundraisers, and other events by the Rolling Panthers.
Practice & Play
Along with weekly practices, we hold 6-week program events for Rolling Panthers, which are announced on our Facebook Page.
These programs are throughout the state, a change based on facility, player needs, and availability. We are always looking to add more practice locations to play. If you’d like to help, contact Kelly.Fosse@SportAbilityofIowa.org
